VITAGRO Energy is a Ukrainian corn deep-processing plant specializing in the production of bioethanol, dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS), technical corn oil, and related grain-processing by-products. The company operates on the principles of a circular economy, ensuring maximum utilization of corn and generating energy, feed, and technical products within a single technological cycle.
The main raw material used in production is ISCC-certified corn supplied by local farms. This approach ensures consistent product quality, traceability of raw materials, reduced logistics costs, and minimized environmental impact. Each batch undergoes quality control, after which the grain is cleaned, milled, and processed through saccharification, fermentation, distillation, decantation, evaporation, and drying stages.
One of the company’s key areas of operation is bioethanol production. Bioethanol is made from renewable raw materials and is used as a more environmentally friendly fuel that meets modern European standards. The plant produces first-generation bioethanol from corn, second-generation bioethanol from agricultural and food industry waste, as well as denatured bioethanol for the fuel market and the chemical industry.
Another important product of VITAGRO Energy is DDGS. This is a valuable protein- and vitamin-rich feed additive formed as a co-product of bioethanol production. DDGS is used in livestock farming as a nutritious feed ingredient. The product contains at least 28% protein, is GMO-free, undergoes laboratory testing, and is produced in accordance with GMP+ standards. Thanks to a drying technology without direct contact with the energy carrier, the DDGS maintains stable quality characteristics, a golden color, and a characteristic bread-like aroma.
A separate production line is dedicated to technical corn oil. It is a by-product of deep corn processing and can be used as a raw material for further industrial applications, particularly in the production of HVO and SAF biodiesel. The company also produces high-purity CO₂ and fusel oil.
The production capacities of VITAGRO Energy allow processing of up to 280 tons of corn per day. Bioethanol production capacity reaches up to 120 m³ per day, DDGS up to 70 tons per day, and technical corn oil up to 4 tons per day. This makes the company an important player in the Ukrainian market of bioethanol, feed ingredients, and grain-processing products.
The company’s history dates back to 1928. After privatization and extensive modernization, the plant resumed operations in 2024 as a modern facility producing bioethanol, DDGS, and technical corn oil. Today, VITAGRO Energy combines over a century of industrial heritage with advanced corn-processing technologies and a strong focus on international quality standards.
VITAGRO Energy is open to cooperation with partners in the energy, agro-industrial, livestock, and chemical sectors, as well as in raw material procurement. The company works with farmers, local communities, businesses, and industry professionals to create products from Ukrainian raw materials for both domestic and international markets.
